FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

1. What is included in the studio rental?

The studio comes with a digital capture workstation, FOBA stand and an equipment wall designed to provide a smooth workflow for your shoot. The equipment wall contains the essentials: packs, heads, reflectors, stands, grip, etc.

If you would like to use different or additional equipment that is not listed on our EQ List, we can source and obtain it for you. 

2. What’s the billing process?

Once a studio booking is confirmed, we will send you an invoice.

3. Do you offer a weekly or multiple day discount?

Yes, multiple day discounts are available for upfront confirmations. Please contact bookings for more information.

4. Can I rent studio space without the equipment?

We always try to accommodate and work with our artists and clients where possible. If there is availability, we may be able to rent out just the studio space.

5. Are you open on the weekends? What are your weekend rates?

Yes, we are able to accommodate bookings on weekends. The same flat rate applies throughout the week, including weekends.

6. Do you rent the studio for other purposes?

We will be happy to rent the space for small gatherings, etc. It is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on availability.

7. How do I book the studio?

Please call or email us when you know the dates that you will need a studio. Depending on availability, you may either book a studio or hold a studio with a first or second tentative option.

A “first tentative” hold or option means that the studio is being held for you, but is not yet booked (confirmed). You may hold the studio unless someone else is ready to confirm a booking for the same dates. At that point, we will call you to exercise your option to book, or you may release the studio hold so we can accept the other booking.

A “second tentative” hold or option means that someone else has a “first tentative” option already. When you are ready to book (confirm) the studio yourself, we will call the “first tentative” and ask them to either book or release the studio. If they release the studio, it will then be confirmed in your name.

To book (confirm) a studio, we will need a valid credit card number for security purposes. An invoice will be sent, and can be paid by check, cash or credit card. 

8. What is your cancellation policy?

Once you confirm a booking, the dates are final.

If we are able to replace your booking with another booking on that day, the cancellation fee will be waived.

9. Do you accept Credit Cards?

Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

10. What are the studio hours and when does overtime begin?

We work on a 10-hour day.  The day can begin between 07:30am - 9:00am and end between 5:30pm – 7:00pm respectively.  You are always welcome to stay for as long as you need to, but overtime charges will apply. The charges occur when the studio is occupied by any person past the rental time.

11. Are your rates negotiable?

Yes— Depending on availability.

12. Do you have a freight elevator?

No, but there is a passenger elevator that measures L - 4.5 ft, W - 4.5 ft, H - 7.5 ft. The elevator entrance measures 3 ft x 7 ft.
